The Watlington Family Reunion

Sup... We just returned from a great trip to  Maryville for my first Watlington (Jesse's Family) family reunion. It is always nice to have a relaxing weekend with your family and friends all in one place, so much fun and lots of entertainment! I got to play with my future niece, Madison, nephew, Micah, and cousin Samantha! Madison and I are best buddies "FOREVER". Micah is her new brother and he is the CUTEST little thing I have ever laid my eyes on!! He looks like he should sprout a mustache next week instead of teeth. He is So sweet! And Samantha is Jesse's cousin, Ryan and Angie's, little girl and she is sharp as a tack. She is close to 1-1/2 years old and was using the potty before the end of the weekend. Jesse and I also enjoyed great home cooking. Jesse's family is amazing. They are very respectful of our choice to be vegetarian and always prepare everything to accommodate us or provide us an veggie option!  And sweets are always plentiful! Yummy!

My dress arrived Saturday morning before we left and I am a little worried about it, unfortunately. I have decided not to post a picture on here because I don't want to ruin the surprise ;o) and I plan to make several alterations to it, so I do not want anyone to make premature judgements. I love the dress. I love the idea of the dress. The fact that it is vintage, from the 50s, and is still a classic look that is unique. I really really hope it all works out.
Here is Sam, Samson, and Madison feeding Jack, the donkey! We all love to feed Jack!

June 19, 2009 My first time...

Okay, I have definitely been skeptical about blogging (hint the title). It was not that long ago I was trying to figure out exactly what the word meant; and then when I did my immediate thought was, WHY? Why on Earth would anyone want to post a virtual diary for the entire world to view, and worse, comment on. No, thank you! Until today I guess, because here I am, being sucked into the new "thing to do," as usual.  I have two excuses for being a sucker. One fairly good excuse and one is pretty silly. The first I want to stay in touch better with my friends and family during a busy and eventful time of my life and second I got my first MacBook today and I love how it feels when I let my fingers dance across the beautiful key board I have been dreaming about for YEARS! Even though Jesse and I got it at a steal for $600.00 on eBay we have still been suffering from a large amount of buyers remorse- until it arrived this morning. That all faded away very fast. Now I am impatiently waiting on my wedding dress I also purchased from eBay (before the computer)... I will give more details and pictures once the freaky thing gets here!
